Itching In Feet, Lower Back, Numbness In Private Area, Peeled Off Dead Skin. Need To Worry?

I am usually in very good health, am male, turning 70 soon, developed an itch few days ago on the upper foot and some in the lower back, treated with moisturising cream daily after shower. I now recall that I also noticed slight numbness in my private part. Nothing major, today I noticed dead skin which I peeled off and it is worrying in case it is a sign of something major

Hi,

Welcome to HCM.

You seem to have localised itching and numbness in some areas.

Nothing is serious as you are healthy otherwise.

Itching may be due to dryness or xerosis. It may be due to senile i.e. old age changes... It may be called senile pruritus.

Moisturising lotion or cream may improve.

Numbness in genital area may be psychological.

It may remain for short time.

Howevever, you may be investigated for DM, Anaemia, renal diseases..etc.

You consult dermatologist.

IT IS NOT A MAJOR DISEASE .IT MAY BE KERATOLYSIS EXFOLITA.IT CAN BE CURED BY SUFFICIENT MOISTIRISERS FOR A PROLONGED PERIOD
