Itchy And Huge Bumps On Face, Oozes Blood When Popped. Is It Mutated Acne ?

How can I get rid of these things on my face? They hurt and are itchy and huge ! I put hot compresses to draw out the stuff in them! When they pop literally blood comes shooting out followed by clear fluid! Sometimes hard pus like things come out (like a blackhead but white and on steriods) (reference to how big the hard pus is) after popped the bump stays for weeks and you can see the blood under my skin! I'm always really gentle if I have to pop it! My concern is I went to the dermatologist and she gave me medicated wash and that's when my normal acne went on a serious growth spree! I told her it made it worse and she said keep using! Which I understand things get worse before they get better but this has been 1 year! Nd it's blood filled :/ I'm miserable! Is it boils? Is it mutated acne? What can I use? How can I make them go away? HELP

Hi. Thanks for writing to HCM.

You seem to be suffering from severe acne(Nodulocystic acne). Just a cleanser would not help your case.

The ideal treatment regimen should include Oral antibiotics like either Azithromycin, Doxycycline or minocycline for 4-12 weeks

Topical Antibiotics like clindamycin+benzoyl peroxide combination once or twice daily

Use a gentle non-soap based cleanser like cetaphil cleansing lotion twice daily


If still your condition does'nt responds as expected then you might need to be put on oral retinoids by your dermatologist.


I think you should reconsult regarding your problem. Delay may lead to permanent scaring
