Itchy Bumps In Inner Elbow To Neck. No Bed Bugs

Help! I have itchy bumps that start from my like inner elbow on the left side, and it goes up to my shoulder , and then the back of my neck . I have a bump on my arm too, but I don t know if it s the same as the ones on my shoulder and neck. They started yesterday mid day while I was laying in bed, watching tv. I ve been scratching them and now their starting to burn/hurt. I don t think it s bed bugs because I ve checked my bed and haven t found anything. They didn t itch while I slept, they itch now that I m awake.

Hello and welcome to Healthcare Magic. Thanks for your query.

Your symptoms of itching, bumps and rashes seem to be indicative of an allergic reaction. This could be due to either an external allergen (like exposure to some irritants, plant toxins, chemicals, etc.) or an internal allergen (like a food substance, medication, etc.).

I would suggest that you take an anti-allergy medication (which should be available over the counter) and observe for improvement. You can also try using an emolient like calamine lotion to help with the burning / itching. In case your symptoms don't subside or worsen, then you need to seek further medical attention.
Wish you all the best.
