Itchy Patches And Spots Bleed, Sweling In Arms. What Is The Treatment?

Hi, my mum has swallon arms, with patches on them when she goes in the sun they are really sore and itchy and some spots start to bleed , she s had this for over a week and has been treating it as prikley heat..sorry can t spell!!...but it s still there! do you think i should take her to the docs today...we live in spain. thank you

Hi Andrea,

It seems like your mom is suffering from a severe form of Photodermatatis. It needs to be treated.

Please take her to the Dermatologist.

She needs to use sunscreen lotion liberally every 2 hours when she is indoors as well. Also, apply calamine lotion to the affected skin for soothing and moisturization.
