Hi pityriasis versicolor is usually nonitchy.absence of itching and no response with ketaconazole shampoo rules out pityriasis versicolor.most properly it is dry scaly eczema.yes u apply e50 cream but the best treatment for it is atarax 25 mg at night.antibiotic twice daily and application of moisteriser twice daily if no response add steriod cream in the night to get cured .use of mosterising soap like dewdem soap can cure it
