Itchy Rash In Armpit, Spreading To Body. Oozing Yellow Liquid. Treatment?

I ve had a rash for a couple of mothns now and it started in my armpit and it was very ichy so naturally i scratched it. At first I thought it was an allergic reaction to my deoderant but I ve stopped using that brand or any at all. It has started spreading to my back, arms, chest, neck, and even my face. Though I try not to scratch the itch is unbearable and it seems like the more I scratch the more it spreads. The bumps first resemble acne but the scratching causes the bumps to increase to mosquito bite size. When the bumps are opened they ooze a clear yellow liquid. I m wondering what can i do to treat this rash with an otc medication?

hi..thanks for your query.
From what you have described' bumps are opened they ooze a clear yellow liquid',it looks like there is a superimposed seconday bacterial infection on what could have been an allergic rash.If you want to use an OTC now,you can try using topical Mupirocin cream twice a daily for a few days to see if that improves.Alongwith ,oral anti histaminics will help combat the symptom of itching( hence you not scratching to cause an infection) and calm down the allergy cells in the body.
Ideally Oral antibiotics and topical steroid creams of appropriate strength should help you achieve a long term cure.
take care!

Hi dear it can be an allergic reaction to the deo as u thought. Its not necessary that if u stop using it the allergy ll go off. Sometime it remains are spreads also as in ur case. Probably it is disseminated eczema. I can suggest u medicine. But better meet some dermatologist. For now u can use desonide lotion once in night for 7 days. It ll help u. Thank u
