Itchy Red Bump Above Upper Lip And Cheek. Taking Medication. Should I Meet A Doctor?

I have an itchy red bump just above my upper lip and another one on my left cheek. I just got back from being out of town for a few days and they both just appeared suddenly at the same time. I am taking medication that says to avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight. Could this be the cause? It was extreamly warm and sunny the past few days and I have had sun exposure. My concern is that i do not know what it is, or the cause, or when to know to go to the doctor. They just popped up yesterday.

Hi thanks for your question.
You have not mentioned in your question what medicine you are taking. There are some medicines which can cause damage the skin, if exposed to sun after taking these medicines. More over prolonged exposure to sun in warm humid atmosphere can cause sunburns, erythema, with red bumps. The other reasons for these bumps could be infection of hair follicle, what is called as boil. Sun burns or boil will get settled of itself in few days, if they don't consultation with a physician is advisable.
Hope this answers your question
