My daughter has a rash that started as a small bump behind her ear. It turned into a small patch behind her ear & traveled down her jawline. It is very itchy, red & moist (almost blister like). I treated her with cortaid and it seemed to work. When she woke up in the morning it was pink instead of red, very dry & small pin hole size scabs formed. When she went outside in the heat yesterday it inflamed, started itching again, and returned to its red and moist state. When she woke up this morning it appeared the same way it did yesterday morning, pink and dry. She has also complained of minor abdominal pain and a sore throat .
Hi, Thanks for writing to us. From the description provided, it seems your daughter could be having seborrheic dermatitis or intertrigo. Now to treat the same, she may take an oral antihistamnic like cetirizine and apply a steroid antifungal cream like clotrimazole mixed with fluticasone two times in a day. Her abdominal pain and sore throat is not related to her skin condition. Take care
