Itchy Upper Body, Itchy Head, Scattered Red Bumps And Patch On Back. History Of Moving To College Dorm, Using Good Quality Bed. Suggest

My very healthy, 20 yr old daughter moved to a college dorm 5 days ago and 3 days ago started becoming very itchy, mostly from waist and up..even in hair. She has come home tonight and the red bumps are scattered and she has more of a patch on her back. We had purchased a good mattress protector with a zipper and put it on immediately when we got to her dorm. She can't sleep or study...so annoyed with the extent of the itching!

Hi i think it is acute urticaria.it is due to sweating associated with new mattresses.it may be also due to food allergens.or insect stings.it can be cured by atarax 25 mg at night.alaspan in the morning and applying linical lotion over the lesions especially at night time.if no response use oral steriods wysolone 30 mg tapered to 10 mg within ten days
