I've Been Recommended For Total Knee Replacement Surgery On Both

I've been recommended for total knee replacement surgery on both my knees (separately). I just recently heard about stem cell treatment for knees. I have arthritis and no cartiIage (bone-on-bone) and have had both knees 'lock' on me once each (left 6yr ago; right July 2015, both time fluid drained and cortisone shot). I have Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (Type 1a). Had Brachythearpy for prostate cancer Dec.2014 (now cancer free). Would you recommend the stem cell treatment. I live in Canada, age 69.
