Ive Been To Going To A Methadone Clinic For 9

Ive been to going to a methadone clinic for 9 years straight. I went out of town and my regular dr prescribed the same mg. for me I've been taking for good while. First the clinic told me because I had an prescription they couldn't dose me anymore.Even though I hadn't started on the dr. prescription yet. That made me 2 day short for my trip. So, my regular dr. gave me enough for 2 more days. that's a total of 8 days worth. When I went back today, with a note from reg. Dr. saying he was no longer providing me with anything else from here on out, they told me I couldn't dose there for 3 weeks because I may doing double clinic stuff and it takes 30 days to figure out in the system if someone is going to more than 1 clinic. My question is how dangerous is this? to be cut off cold turkey?
