Hi,I'm 40yo, 52kg, 160cm. I've currently been diagnosed with Pulmonary TB with Sputum(AFB):2 plus, and been admitted for more than two weeks now.My question: how long does it take until the sputum become negative?and is jogging or walking safe for me?is sea air good for me?I mean, does it help for my lung recovery? sincerely, Novie
It takes usually 1-2 weeks for sputum conversion. anti tubercular drug pyrazinamide is responsible for early sputum conversion so make sure that your drug list is carrying pyrazinamide. And you can start with mild exercise and gradually pace up with jogging. Take your medicines regularly, eat healthy protein rich food and complete the full schedule of your medicines. TB is curable.
