Ketoconazole Shampoo And Zevit Capsules Are Helpful For Dandruff And Hair Loss After Chemical Straightening?
Hello doctor.
I am a 20 years old female. My hair was very thick and wavy before. But recently I started taking a lot of stress and also did chemical straightening on my hair. Now my hair has become very thin. I suffer from dandruff and hair loss has also started and it is accelerating day by day. I started using 2% ketoconazole shampoo a week before and also take Zevit capsule. Can you please tell if the medication is correct or not and can you please suggest some other options too ??
PS: I am undergoing treatment from a psychiatrist. I use tablets libotryp, libotryp ds, pacitane and serenace .

Seborrheic dermatitis/dandruff can lead to increased hair shedding. I would advice that you continue with ketoconazole shampoo, thrice weekly for 2-4 weeks followed by once weekly for maintenance.
Zevit is a Zinc containing multivitamin and it has no role in dandruff related hair fall. I prescribe my patients of dandruff a biotin supplement because Biotin deficiency is related to seborrheic dermatitis
