Hello Thanks for using health care magic for posting your query. I have gone through what you have mentioned and I can understand what you are going through. There could be plenty of reasons for such a swelling occuring right from the time of birth. It could be a congenital anomaly or insufficient skull formation or it could be a dermoid cyst or some infection like chronic abscess. It will be difficult to comment on it without examination. The fact that the lesion was present from the time before the marriage , it makes necessary that an MRI of head should be considered to see the extent of the swelling.
