Last Week, I Hit A Very Low Metal Shelf At

Last week, I hit a very low metal shelf at work, right on my right lateral ankle bone, and I hit it hard. It hurt a lot at the time, but subsided after about 10 minutes, but was sore for the rest of the day. Since then, I've had occasional moderate stabbing pain in the area, even while sitting, and my ankle gets sore after standing/walking at my job all day, causing me to have slight trouble walking on it. It's not visibly bruised or swollen, and it's only moderately tender to touch. Did I just bruise the bone? Do I need to seek further attention? Thank you.
