Learning Disability In Mathematics, Can Understand Problems, Forgets Easily, Have To Be Retaught. Causes?

My learning disability is in math. For some reason, a teacher or professor can explain it to be and I will understand how to do it. Then I will complete a few problems and forget how to do and actually have to reteach myself how to do it from previous problems I ve already solved. Can you tell me what is happening in my brain and why this happens? Is there a way to fix or improve this matter?

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello, Welcome to Health Care Magic

You have problem in understanding the math problems and then in remembering the problems. Such type of complaints can possibly seen in some form of learning disorder. If you are not facing problems in other subjects and you have absolutely normal performance in other subjects then it could be due to Specific Learning Disorder. Mild form of this can be seen normally in a lot of individuals but if the problem cause poor performance in terms of grades then there is need to consult a psychiatrist. Assisted learning method help in such symptoms.

This type of presentation can be seen with mild depression also. I would advise you to consult a Psychiatrist for expert opinion.

Hope this helps you, thanks
