Left Eardrum Popped After I Blew Nose Hard To Clear It, Feel Congested In Eardrum Now. Why Is It ?

I have a cold and blew my nose hard to clear it. In doing so, my left eardrum popped pretty hard and hurt for a while (there was also a whooshing noise that I could feel in my head for a short time afterwards). Now, I can hear alright out of it, but it feels like there s something congesting my ear drum (if that makes sense). Any advice on what it is/what I should do?

Hi,
Welcome to HCM
It seems that you are having Otitis Media giving rise to these symptoms.
Go for one antibiotic medicine course after consulting your doctor.
Take Vicks vapor inhalation.
Avoid fried, cold drinks and junk food.
take care that water does not enter in the ear while taking bath.
Ok and bye.
