I am 44 years old and have a pacemaker due to scarring from congenital heart repair (tetrology). I'm very health, exercise, not overweight, etc. For the past month, I've been getting left shoulder, deltoid, and subscapular pain along with numbness and tingling down the arm to the fingers. Rarely some neck pain, but usually not.
On one occasion, the numbness and tingling even caused my hand to curl up. I am a PA-C and am expected to first-assist in surgery and can't have my hand doing this! Also get itching and pain on the left breast near the pacemaker. Pacemaker is implanted on my left side, subpectoral- Boston Scientific implanted on Dec. 1, 2008. I'm otherwise feeling great. Any input?
