Leg Hit Metal Ladder, Swelling, Felling Heavy. How To Get Relief?

Hi, I hit the bottom part of my left leg nearer to the end on a metal step ladder in February 2011 and there is a gash on there but the leg is slightly swollen and it feels heavy sometimes which is when it is more noticeable if being swollen. The ankle and the foot in the left side is also swollen slightly. Can you please help to what I can do?

Hello,

Trauma of this nature can inflict serious injuries to the muscle, bone and the tendon.

You need a check up of the area.

You may need an X ray of the part.

Rest and physiotherapy may be needed.

Consult an Orthopedician.
