Lieomyoma Diagnosed, Cannot Conceive, Hypothyroidism. Laparotomy Done. Using Thyronorm. Advise?

sir im 28yrs, maried 2yrs ago .3yrs back i underwent laporatomy as there was a mass and final diagnose was lieomyoma.Nw im not getting conceived.i hav hypothyroidism using Thyronorm 25mg my periods are regular.My tubes are aiso clear there is no block.sir please tel me whats my problem and iam mentally very much upset regarding this and worried whether i conceive or not

Hi and thanks for the query,
I understand it could be very disturbing at this point in time. However, you shall need a cautious follow up preferably by an infertility specialist. Screening for serum thyroid hormone levels is sufficient to know if the blood levels are in the right concentration. Ascertaining the actual state of the uterus and fallopian tubes with an updated and recent hysterosalpingograpphy might be very useful. Screening for infectious diseases and other causes of secondary infertility might be useful. A consultation with your husband to be sure of the absence of male factor being implicated as cause of infertility here. The frequency of sexual contacts during your ovulation periods could be taught and advised.
A complete reevaluation by an infertility specialist is of utmost importance.
