Light Spotting, Cramping. Taken Pill After Sex, Irregular Periods. What Could Be This?

My periods are extremely irregular. My last period was March 1st and I hadn't been sexually active until April 26th. I had unprotected sex on the 27th of april and used an Emergency Contraceptive 3 hours later. It's now May 5th and I had light spotting and a few cramps for a brief amount of time today but then it went away. I still haven't had my period. I know I'm irregular but what's going on?

Hi thanks for your question.
There are many causes for irregular periods and you should get yourself investigated for that. Irregular bleeding after emergency contraception is common and is usually associated with severe abdominal pain. I would suggest you to consult a nearby gynecologist who may examine and investigate you for your irregular periods and may treat you accordingly.
Hope this answers your questions
