Lightheaded, Numb Feeling In Fingers. Are They Related ?

I have been lightheaded for a week now..... Last night, all of a sudden, I start to get a numb feeling in my pinky and ring fingers. Can the two possibly be related? AND, what can keep you lightheaded for a week...sheesh. They are trying to say I have Vertigo but from what I ve read, Vertigo is where u feel like your surroundings are constantly spinning out of control. I don t have that, out of control, type of feelin.
