Welcome to HCM!
I have gone through your question carefully and from my clinical experience I can say that you should take your son to a
neurologist at least once and get him investigated.
Had I been treating your son, I would go for an
MRI brain and may be an EEG . this will help in making the diagnosis clear.
Once MRI brain comes normal, it appears that your son has some kind of headache/
migraine, which should respond to normal pain killers. many times there is
dizziness accompanying
headaches.
there can be several precipitating factors in migraine/headaches, and avoiding them helps in reducing the frequency and intensity of headaches. Precipitating factors can be like: staying hungry for long time, stressful situations, not getting enough sleep, staying in sun for long hours, certain odours/food items etc.
 Hope the reply helps you
