Lipid Profile Test Reads Triglycerides 499mg/dl, Cholesterol 100mg/dl. Is There Anything Wrong?

Hi, I am senthil. I recently did a lipid profile test. My triglycerides is 499 mg/dl, vldl cholestrol is 100 mg/dl and total chol/ hdl chol ratio is 7.1. I am concerned the counts are very much away from the normal range. Should i rely only on exercise/ diet or continue to use Atorsave-D which i didn t use continously on previous prescription by my doctor 3 months back.

Hi there ~

Yes, your trigycerides are way above the limits and your cholesterol is in the upper high limit. I would advise you to take the medications prescribed by your doctor for the condition.

I hope this helps. Take care and have a lovely day!
