Looks Like Wart On Knee. Used Wart Bandaid On Knee. Now Looks Like Pimple. Squeezed And Had Lot Of Pus. What Could This Be?

My daughter had what looked like a wart on her knee, it was hard and was there for a few months. I used a wart bandaid on it and left it for 3 days. We took it off tonight, I went to remove the dead skin and I noticed it looked more like a pimple? So with hesitation I finally got her to squeeze it and tons of white smelly pus came out of it?! What could it be? She's only 7.

Hi,

It would be wart , which is removed by bandaid.

After that, your daughter got secondary bacterial infection leading to superficial abcess.

You have removed lot of pus from the lesion.

Now there will be healing.

Give her antibiotics like cefixime for 1 to 2 weeks..with anti inflammatory drugs.

Apply antibiotic cream like mupirocin or sisomycine.

Improve her immunity by immunobusters.
