Loss Of Appetite, Undergone Surgery In Food Pipe. What Type Of Diet Should Be Followed?

Hi, my mother-in-law is over 65 years of age and she underwent a surgery last Wednesday night for treating & closing off a 1 cm hole in her food pipe located under her belly button. Now, she does not feel eating anything..
What is your good advice for her to take precautions in future and what kind of food, she should be eating from now.

Hi !
Thank you for your query.
Dear sir,

You must have been guided by you operating doctor regarding this. Anyways she should start with a semisolid diet and gradually shift on solid food . She must avoid oily spicy food and prefer a bland diet. Eat in small portions on regular intervals.High protein diet can be taken if you dont have any renal problems.

You can consult a dietician for a diet plan according to her present health and specific needs according to comorbidities.

Hope you are satisfied with the answer.
If you have any further queries feel free to ask.
Wish you good health.
Take care.
