Lower Abdominal Pain, Has Dementia. Could She Have Pulled A Muscle?

My 96-year old mother has suddenly developed a pain in her lower left abdomen. I had her walking back and forth in my hall way today....twice only....She walks stooped forward and I am trying to have her stand up when she walks. Could perhaps have pulled a muscle, but we are ever so gentle with her. Could there be any other reason. Other than that she is very healthy. She has dementia. Thanks.
