Lower Part Of Aureola Slightly Raised And Whiter Than Surrounding Skin. Should I Be Concerned?

Hi, I have a slightly raised area starting at the lower part of my aureola. It is of no specific shape and isn t really discolored but seem to be whiter than the surrounding skin, and the part on the aureola is definitely whiter. Does that sound like anything to be concerned about?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be an eczema, however underlying condition like paget it breast lump must be ruled out. Consult a general surgeon and plan for an ultrasound scan to look for any impalpable lump.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
