Lump In Left Boob. Echography Shows Lesion, Surgery Recommended. Anything To Worry?

Im 21 years old n i had recently found out that i have a lump in my left boob , it hurts so much most of the time ...i had it when i was 17 years old and by the age of 20, i went to the doctor cause it starts hurting me a lot .... when i had an echography it turns out to be a lesion of a 2,8 cm size , the doctor said when it's 3 cm size i'll do a surgury to take it off......... should i be worried ?

I THINK ITS FIBROADENOMA SINCE U R ONLY 21 YEARS....fibroadenoma often presents as a lump,,,it might remain static or it may grow in size...as it is producing symptoms like pain surgery is recommended...there is nothing to worry about this...its a benign condition...ws biopsy done for this?if i could know the biopsy report it would have been helpful...malignancy is nt expected at this age and a malignant lump would grow much faster
