Lump On Elbow, Semi Hard. Reason?

i noticed a lump on my elbow about month ago. it was pea sized and semi hard but not rock hard. now it has grown to about quarter size and is much softer. if i pull the skin tight over it an look in the mirror it appears to be many little bumps kind of in the shape of a circle. the skin obove the lumps has no change in color. what could this be?

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hi, thanks for writing to HCM.

A soft and non tender (not painful) swelling around the elbow joint could possibly be a Lipoma (fat deposition). This is a benign lesion and there is absolutely nothing to worry about and no treatment is necessary except for cosmetic purposes.

But, a diagnosis of the same has to be made by a qualified doctor. So,I suggest you to consult your family physician for an evaluation.

Hope this information is helpful. Good day
