Lump On Inner Arm, Paining When Pressed. Consulted Doctor, Suggested Not To Worry

I have a lump on the inner arm close to bicep that is causing me pain when pressed. I have a few of these small lumps which doctors have seen in the past and have told me not worrry about it as they do not bother me nor do i have any pain associated with them. The one in my inner arm is different as this one is causing some pain. Should i have it looked at

Hi

From your description, it looks like you have developed folliculitis.
Now this is an infection of the base of the hair follicle.
Any kind of trauma or pull to the hair can lead to such infections.
Firstly, avoid the application of oils or any moisturizing creams to the affected area.
keep the area clean and dry.
Clean it with a mild antiseptic lotion twice a day followed by application of a topical antibiotic cream.

In severe cases, oral antibiotics and pain killers are also required.
