Lump On Vaginal Lip, Pain During Intercourse. Suggestion?

hello, im 20 years old and about a year ago i found a small lump on my right vaginal lip, quite high up. also i fequently have pain during sex, which feels like its deep in my womb, so much i have to stop intercourse. recently the last couple of weeks i have began bleeding during (little) and after (lots). im very worried, but embarressed to go to my gp, can you help?

hi,
the possible causes for your symptoms are,
- bartholin cyst: bartholin glands will be present near vagina on both sides, their function is to maitain lubrication during intercourse.
when the ducts of the gland becomes blocked it will cause cyst formation.
may be because of friction you are getting pain and bleeding from it.

-cervical polyp: sometimes cervical polyp also presents as lump of vagina, it can also cause pain and bleeding.

so to rule out the possible cause and to take treatment you have to consult gynecologist, don't feel embarrassed as these are common complaints in females.
