Lumps In Vein, Tenderness, Feels Hard, Burning Sensation, Extreme Anxiety. What Is It A Result Of?

I woke with a hard, tender, cord-like vein(?) in my left axilla 2 weeks ago. I do not recall any specific injury, but was drinking and dancing the night before. I can feel very small lumps in this vein or tendon. It is worse when I raise my arm over my head and you can see the cord then also. When I raise my arm it causes a tight, burning sensation. Pulses, sensation, color, and movement to the lower arm and hand are all within normal limits. I am an otherwise healthy 35yo female with no comorbidities. This is causing extreme anxiety, any ideas? Thanks.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,
It seems that you may be having lymphadenitis in left axilla. There may be swelling with pain in axilla. The swelling may be tender. The area may be slightly warm. The lymphadenitis is inflammation of lymp node. It is caused by bacterial infection of lymph node. You consult either dermatologist or surgeon. Blood tests may be done to rule out DM,HIV and other internal diseases. Take antibiotics for 2 to 3 weeks with anti inflammatory drugs. Take rest for few days. If there is abscess development, incision and drainage may be done. I hope you got my answer.
Thanks..
