MRI report of my father provides below information:
1. Focal area of gliosis in right ganglioscapsular region and adjacent right corona radiata
2. Chronic ischemic changes in brian
3. Mild age related crebral atrophy
Could you please explain me in simple understandable terms how serious these causes are and suggest corrective actions

MRI is neuroimaging investigation very useful in neurological diseases.
Gliosis occurs in brain in response to damage to nervous tissue, proliferation or hypertrophy of several different types of glial cells (astrocytes, microglia, and oligodendrocytes).
These changes occurs due to blood supply to brain is reduced with age and narrowing of blood vessels.
Gliosis sometimes may cause fits or convulsions. all these changes leads to reduction in memory and other higher function of brain.
This results in Dementia you should consult a Neurologist for further treatment.
