MRI Shows A Pituitary Tumor, Focus Of Low Signal And Small Focus Of Calcification Fibriosis. Worry?
My MRI shows a pituitary tumor 9x7x7, a 2mm focus of low signal on all sequence, that suggest a small focus of calcification fibrosis , or old hemorrhage. Also mild diffused brain volume loss, greater than expected for patient s age. Can you break all this down for me? Is it serious, do I have something serious going on?
Hi and welcome to Healthcare magic.Thank you for the query. It doesnt sound serious and no treatment is necessary at this point if you dont have any symptms. ,you should just repeat scan in 1-2 years to see is there progression in size of this lesion. Wish you good health. Regards
