Major Depression, Menopausal, Anxiety, High BP, Troubled Breathing. Was On Detox And Celexa. Why Is This Happening?
What information do I need my Doctor to provide to Great West Life they have cut me off my benefits for major depression because I could not finish the detox I was taking 7 mg of Ativan a day and they cold turkey took me off and replaced with 10 down to 5mg in 3days I am 54 going through menopause bad and my anxiety was so bad in treatment my blood pressure went up to about 190 never went below 178 and they were not concerned, I could not stop crying and breathing was hard I felt like killing myself I really thought I was going to die in there. So he needs to summit more medical I have been on anti dreprsants for years and have been so depressed on celexa

In your case anxiety can occur due to depression or withdrawal effect of ativan or due to both reasons.
For short term and immediate relief from anxiety medicines like lorazepam (ativan) are used. Its prolong use lead to dependance which further increases anxiety and depression like in your case. For long term control of anxiety and depression following measures are helpful: medicines like SSRIs (celexa) and non drug treatment like CBT. It is better to get evaluated by psychiatrist and start treatment accordingly.
As you appear to have anxiety symptoms with severe depression, in that case celexa doses can be increased in psychiatrist supervision.
