Meaning Of Anechoic Cyst With Internal Echos, Resembling Picture Of Hemmorhage In Cyst In Right Ovary

Hello doc i am 25 yrs married for 1 year. I havnt concieved yet my pelvis exam report says i have a anechoic cyst with internal echos, resembling picture of hemmorhage in cyst measuring 4.5×5.1 cm in my right ovary which needs a follow up. wat does means. Please reply

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

Your ultrasoundscan pelvis shows a cyst with fluid contents measuring 4.5 x 5.1 cm and might possibly contain some blood within which is why its given as hemorrhagic cyst. It may cause pain but is very likely to resolve in few months (3 to 6 months). It should not affect your conceiving chances if it is a hemorrhagic cyst.
