Medical Advice On IUD

I had an IUD perforate my uterus and it was removed last month. I got the shot the same day and I m having my first period since then. Changing tampons is making my cramps pretty bad, and I normally don t cramp much at all. Is there a chance this is related to the IUD issue? Or can cramps just be worse with the shot? And why does changing a tampon make it worse?
