Medical Advice On Discontinuing Medicine Microgynon For A Short Period

Hello I have been taking the microgynon 30 pill for a few years now and I m due to go on holiday Friday therefore have stopped the pill mid cycle but will continue to take the pill after I ve had a 7 day break, I have basically just brought my period on earlier to save me having a period whilst on holiday. Will this be okay apart from being unprotected slightly?
