Hello rina;
welcome to HealthcareMagic
The irregular periods or absent periods for a year can be due to hormonal imbalance;thyroid disease;PCOS(cysts in ovaries)etc.So the exact reason can be confirmed only after investigation like a ultrasound and blood tests.So now that the periods are back they can be again due to regulation that might have taken place in her body.Consult a Gynaecologist and discuss the issue.
Thanks
