Migraine, High BP. Was On Endep And Coversyl. Should I Reduce The Dosage?

I was on Endep for a couple of years for migraine prevention but stopped before I went overseas for 3 months because I put on weight. Since coming back my blood pressure has climbed to 183/115 and I was put on Coversyl yesterday. I did well on Endep and wonder if I could just take Endep again or maybe the two together at reduced dosage for each.

Dear Sir/ Madam
Thanks for writing to HCM.
Endep (amitriptyline) is not meant to control your blood pressure. Surely it is a preferred choice of most physicians for migraine prophylaxis. Coversyl (perindopril) on the other hand is meant to lower blood pressure. Since your current problem is high blood pressure and not migraine, you are being prescribed coversyl.
Please continue with same.
Sincerely
Sukhvinder
