Migraine, Nausea, Loss Of Appetite, Feeling Thirsty. Any Ideas?
Hi, I had a migraine early last week which lasted 3 days, when ever i stood up i felt like i was going to faint and felt very nauseous. Since having the migraine i have been getting stabbing headaches for about 20 minutes every so often and my appetite is seriously reduced. I don't feel hungry at all, i have to make myself eat a meal everyday, but i am very thirsty and will get through 2 liters or more of water a day. Is there something wrong or am i just being paranoid?
Migraine is a common type of headache. It is usually a throbbing type of headache associated with nausea and dizziness. Usually it lasts for few days and then recurs after some interval. It is seen in episodic pattern. Your appetite has been reduced because of pain and anxiety associated with migraine. This is a normal thing. I would advise you to visit a Psychiatrist for evaluation of headache and anxiety. Medicines like Amitryptilline, Escitalopram, Propranolol etc control the headache as well as anxiety effectively.
Hope this helps you, thanks
