Mild Chest Pains, Sweating A Lot. High BP Controlled With Medication. Worried About Persistent Pain
I am worried because I have been having mild chest pains lately. Im not sue exactly when they started but they come and go. About two weeks ago I woke up from sleeping in the middle of the night with a severe chest pain. It felt like a dagger stabbed me in the left center of my chest. Pain was about an 8 out of 10. Since then I have mild chest pains that come and go. Today the pain is persistent but mild. About a 2 to 3 on a scale to 10. Not sure if this is anything or not but i woke up sweating last couple days. Im male, 41, high blood pressure, well controlled with medication for many years, not to over weight. Im just kinda worried about the pains not going away today. I can live with the pain, im just worried.
Hi, Thank you for asking question on health care magic. The chest pain you are getting may be Purely muscular pain Due to acid peptic disease Pain due to ischemia of the heart Take some antacids and analgesics under the cover of antacids for relief from pain. Better to consult physician and take ECG and 2D echo of the heart to rule out any cardiac problem. Hope this answer will serve your purpose Please feel free to ask any more queries if required Take care Dr.M.V.Subrahmanyam MD;DCH Associate professor of pediatrics
