Mild Headache, Sore Throat, Pain In Scrotum. History Of Unprotected Sexual Act Without Penetration. Sexual Partner Tested Negative For STD. Infection?

Hello

About 6 weeks ago, I was sexually involved with a lady. Prior to that, I had been a 100% faithful to my wife

The sexual activity involved the following:
- sucking the lady's nipple for like 5 minutes
- inserting my finger into her for like 5 minutes and
- she sucking my penis for like 3 minutes, rubbing the tips of her tongue on the head of my pennis
Exactly a week after the incident, I developed a mild headache and sore throat that lasted for a week and a pain on my elbow.

I got very worried and started searching for this lady. I got the lady about 2 weeks ago (4 weeks after the encounter) and had her tested, she was negative, but admitted to having numerous sexual partners and having unprotected sex with them

Last week, I started feeling some pains on my scrotal balls (both).

I am worried sick, I don't know if I have been infected with the virus. I have not been able to have sex with my wife since then. Please advice.

Thanks

Hi and thanks for the query.

Each time you have an unprotected sexual encounter, the chances of having an infection are real. From the information you have provided, you probably kissed this lady and your symptoms could be suggestive of infectious mononucleosis or an STD. I am unsure whether she was also tested for this as it is not classically routinely tested for STDs screening.

Well, you should also get tested because we cannot indirectly say you don't say you don't have any disease by testing another person. you could have as well had an until then asymptomatic STD that has chose to present with symptoms now. So please meet and get evaluated and tested by a veneral disease specialist.

Please, may I kindly suggest you consider using condoms all the times if you are going to have sex with a different sex partner other than your wife? This will help save you from diseases, and your wife, too.

I hope you find this helpful and informative. If you have more questions, please ask us and we shall gladly provide answers. I wish you all the best of outcome given his present state.
