Mild Itching, Exfoliation Of Skin On Fingers After Touching One With Psoriasis Vulgaris. Is It Communicable?

i touched a patient who is suffering with psoriasis vulgaris. Next day, i got mild itching and exfoliation of skin on my fingers. i want to whether psoriasis is communicable. My dermatologist has said to me that i am suffering from contact dermatitis and he prescribed me initially propyzole cream and levocetrizine . i have no relief with symptoms. once again, i consulted him and he changed the drug to HH Salic 6 ointment and oral flucanozole and levocetrizine. i am suffering from diabetes for the past 6 years and i am in good control with oral medications.

Hello

Psoriasis is not communicable. Doctor is treating you for a fungal infection as well as for contact dermatitis. That's the rain he had given fluconazole and propyzole cream.

I would recommend that you continue with HH Salic 6 ointment.

If the diagnosis is contact dermatitis that will be helpful.

Hello Sir,
Psoriasis is not communicable and it is impossible to get it through touch - unlike a ringworm or scabies that do spread on touch/contact.
You may continue with the prescribed medicines.
As per Ayurveda, you may apply Eladi Keram oil on the affected part.
Internally take Khadiradi Kashayam (20 ml with equal water twice - morning and night - half an hour before meals) for about 15 days.

Take care.
Regards
