Mild Periods, Increased Breast Size. HPT Negative. What Else Could Be The Reason?

I'm 47 and I am having light/ late periods for the past 3 months, breast size increase from a 38C to a 40D 've done 5 HPT after my bleeding stopped all negative and my stomach is swollen as if I am 5months pregnant and I'm having hot flashes days prior to and during my so called periods which are bright red/pinkish in color with no clotting whatsoever. What could be wrong with me f I'm not pregnant?

Hello and welcome to HCM.

Thank you for your query.

This is most probably a sign of two conditions.
1. A normal period. Periods can change, and are mostly bright red in the beginning and then change to a lighter pinkish color

2. This can also be a sign of pregnancy. But, as you have conducted 5 HPT's, this is almost completely ruled out. I hope you have used an early morning urine sample while conducting these tests as this sample would yield a most accurate result

The abdominal bloating described by you is quite intensive. I would request you to kindly visit a doctor and get an erect abdominal x-ray conducted. But, before this we will have to conduct a serum beta-hCG and an abdominal and pelvic ultrasound to rule out/diagnose a pregnancy or any other condition relating to that region.

Do write back to me with details of the investigation if you require a follow-up, but I am sure your doctor will be able to handle the situation well enough. But, no matter what, you may always write back to me, I shall be obliged to assist you.

I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications. I would gladly help you.

Best wishes.
