Mirena Coil Fitted. Periods Late. White And Brownish Discharge With Tender Breasts And Cramps. Pregnancy Test Negative. Pregnant?
Hi, i had the mirena coil fitted three monthsago, i continued to have my monthly period until this month, i am 10 days late. Usual cramps, breast tenderness and for the past two days a white dischrage with no smell but last nit i had a small light brown dicharge but nothing today. I have taken home pregnancy test but negative. Is there a chance i could still be pregnant.
First of all, mirena has failure rate less than 0.5%. Here, you can undergo one blood test to rule out product of conception. It is more confirmatory than home pregnancy test.
By using mirena, there are some side effects like irregular spotting, delayed period, vaginal infection, abdominal cramp etc for initial few months or there after.
In exclusion of pregnancy, you need to consult with gynecologist for pelvic examination and relevant investigations. Take suggestive measures accordingly.
All the best.
