Missed Abortion, Recommended D&C. Taking Thyroxine. Should I Continue Medicine?

Hello I am 24 and I was about 11 weeks pregnant but last week I came to know that I had and missed obortion due to the death of my fetus now my doctor has recomended me for a D AND C my question is I am on thyroxine I have a low thyroid problem.should I continue with my medicine or should I wait and have it after my D AND C.

Thyroxine is not contraindicated in missed abortion.
You no need to withdraw in missed abortion.
You can continue to take thyroxine.
Because thyroxine is essential to maintain your mental as well as physical activity.

Hello,

Yes, you should continue thyroid medication and before planning to baby, its level should be normal. After that, maintenance dose is required throughout the pregnancy period.

In addition, you must take folic acid and vitamin supplements for at least 3 months in preconception period. Good luck.
