Missed Period, Spotting. HPT Faint Positive. What Is Going On?

I am a 21 year old female. I have not had a period since January 22, 2013. On April 22nd, i took a HPT and it came back with a very faint positive. I don't have insurance, so I was waiting to have time to go to the health department to take a test and possibly get insurance. I decided to take another HPT 2 days ago just to make sure i wasn't seeing things, but it came back negative. Like i said, i've not bled or spotted since January, and I'm getting kind of concerned if something else could be wrong, or if i am in fact pregnant.

hello,

Here, you need to undergo one blood test for beta-hcg and TVS scan to rule out conception or other underlying pathology. Early pregnancy test is not so reliable and significant.

Other reasons are hormonal imbalance, thyroid disturbance, stress/ anxiety, ovarian cyst, irregular diet habit, over wt or rapid loss, psychological factors etc. Relevant investigations may be needed if pregnancy is ruled out after consultation with your gynecologist.

Good luck.
