Missed Periods. Pregnancy Strip Is Negative. After Two Tests, Now It Shows Positive. What Should I Do?
Hello dr, my wife was supposed to start mensis on or around 30th of Sep-2013, bit it didn't.I waited for about 10 days or so and checked on pregnancy strip and it shows negative.I again tested after a week and it again shows negative. Now I again tested on 29th Oct. and surprisingly it shows positive. Now what should I do?
There are a number of reasons that can explain the reason for pregnancy test being negative at the beginning notably: - early testing- usually testing too soon can often come out negative - wrong method: conducting the test by doing a wrong collection of urine or allowing a contamination by water or other fluids. It is often advisable to collect midstream early morning urine and avoid using bottles or containers that already had other fluids inside (use dry containers). - Not using sufficient urine How ever, let me try answering your question, on what you should do now? It is best you go to the hospital for confirmation and also allow the health care providers to run the necessary tests that could insure a healthy pregnancy for your wife. Also a pelvic ultrasound is also necessary.
Hope this helps
